Contemporary Worldviews Questions
We are trying out this new event. It will be a lot of fun!!
(It is a non-qualifying event)
Gift cards will be given to the 1st ($100), 2nd ($75), 3rd ($50) and 4th ($25) place winners.
We feel the topics need to be studied by students before they graduate from high school.
The following questions will be used at the tournament:
1. Should the Covid-19 vaccinations and boosters be at least temporarily pulled off the market due to the heart problems, unusual blood clots, and other long-term health issues they cause?
2. Does the concept of Critical Race Theory belong in our schools or workplaces?
3. Should I live with my boyfriend or girlfriend before marriage? What does the Bible call this? For those who do this, what are the long-term impacts on society and on their potential marriage?
4. Is truth relative or objective? Is truth based on one's own feelings, political ties, or culture? Can something be true for you and not true for me?
5. Is significant man-made global warming/global cooling/climate change conclusively and scientifically true? What are the repercussions of the policies that support this theory?
6. Should abortion be legal in America?
7. What impact did the Bible and its teachings have on America's founders?
8. Why did the founders put gun rights in the American constitution?
9. Prior to the first Thanksgiving, the Pilgrims practiced an early form of Socialism/Communism. How did this work out for them and why does this matter?
10. Do elections and the integrity of how they are run matter? Does it matter who rules over us? What does the Bible say about this?
11. Why does the age of the earth matter to evolutionists? What evidence is there to support a young earth (under 10,000 years) versus an old earth?
12. Does same-sex marriage harm society? What happens to a society that legalizes such things and doesn’t promote the sanctity of marriage between one man and one woman?
13. What’s wrong with a Christian dating and marrying a nonbeliever?
14. What does the Bible say about men wearing women's clothes and women wearing men's clothes? What are the impacts to a society that allows people to choose their own gender?
15. In 1979 China implemented a one-child per family policy. How has this worked, and what are the current and projected future impacts? What does the Bible say about having children and families?
16. What does the Bible say about our words and our language? Should Christians ever use profane words or foul language?
17. Why is a Biblical worldview superior to all other worldviews?
18. Where did the concept of "Separation of Church and State" come from?
19. How well has socialized medicine worked in the countries that have implemented it?
20. Should Christians prepare their households for the possibility of economic collapse?
21. What evidence is there that man and dinosaurs roamed the earth together? Why does this matter to evolutionists?
22. What are some of the end results of socialism/communism in the world today?
23. Please summarize the recent history of Venezuela in trying to implement Democratic Socialism. What have been the results?
24. What do the Ten Commandments from Exodus 20 say about Socialism and Marxism?
